The Sea inspires me because...
I am a child of the sea, grew up by it, lived a 5 minute walk from it. I miss not being able to take long walks along the shore, it's so invigorating yet peaceful.

Nature, wildlife inspires me because...
The great outdoors relaxes and fascinates - a kind of playground of which we take for granted. Clear your mind, go for a walk (that's if you're fortunate enough to be able to access the countryside - if not find a park in your city).

Dreams inspire me because...
Sleep is also escapism because my dreams are colourful and vivid. My imagination goes into overdrive, I sometimes wake with new ideas.

Steam trains inspire me because...
Steam locomotive shows of my early childhood, together with my family and other pleasant people, the divine smell of steam, the excitment of a fair, the taste of hotdogs and sweet tea. Oh the romantic nostalgia of Steam trains! Enormous, powerful, beautiful and reliable - steam trains were once the making of developing nations and industry around the world. Trains in general make me wonder of the lives of the passengers, the journeys they undertake.

Journeys inspire me because...
Physical, mental and spiritual journeys - Life is a journey, indeed a journey consisting of a fine, layered network of journeys interweaving, bringing us to all kinds of places.

Stars inspire me because...
Whenever my problems overwhelm me I stand outside at night, and if I am fortunate enough to have a clear sky of sparkling stars, seeing them brings comfort and humility...and wonderment of the vastness of all of this.

Certain people inspire me because...
Such as - my parents for their drive and determination, their beliefs, their compassion, their creativity and their wonderment.

Dogs inspire me because...
They are truly wo(man)'s Best Friend. Loyal, fun, protective, companiable, cute...a member of the family.

Human relationships inspire me because...
No wo(man) is an island, we are social creatures needing one another. Even when we seek solitude we find solace reading a story, or watching a film about characters who inspire, sadden, horrify...and ultimately entertain us. And, concerning those people who share part of our own journeys, don't they colour our lives...for good or for bad?
